The AmalgamBOSS
Can service 1 chair for 2 years
2-3 chairs for 18 months
4-10 chairs for 1 year
M.A.R.S Bio-Med Processes Inc. has designed a self -contained amalgam separator that is compliant for any jurisdiction - 99% mercury removal.
These separators require no maintenance throughout the service life.
Our research, science and product design has produced the next generation of amalgam separator. A unit that incorporates the requirements of existing legislation and accounts for the present Health Canada and OSHA areas of concern.
At MARS, our proactive philosophy ensures that we are always looking ahead in order to have the answers ready for you before you need them.

PowerLINZ
Evacuation Line Cleaner
QUESTION: Why is it necessary to use a non-chlorine containing evacuation line cleaner?
ANSWER: Evacuation line cleaners that contain bleach or chlorine will increase the release of mercury from
the amalgam particles.
Many disinfectant or line cleaning products possess an oxidative formula that has the potential to liberate mercury ions into solution from amalgam. That’s why it is important to use an evacuation line cleaner made specifically to resolve the challenge of keeping the dental water system clean from bacterial bio-film in conjunction with the mercury by-law limits for an amalgam separator.
Features of PowerLINZ
Powerful: With its active ingredient, chlorhexidine gluconate, combines the high antimicrobial strength with patent-pending ingredients that bind mercury particles, making them easier to capture. PowerLINZ is focused on providing maximum performance in every dental setting, including clinics using an amalgam separator.
Protects: - its neutral pH formula makes it safe to use for any amalgam separator. Used every day, PowerLINZ completes the warranty for your AmalgamBOSS.
Containing only biodegradable surfactants, PowerLINZ enhances compliance with all sewer disposal regulations.
PowerLINZ features a fresh, mint scent, is 100% biodegradable, and its unique precision-balanced chemistry kills bacteria in your dental water system. Perfect for your staff’s safety, your equipment’s longevity, and the environment’s protection.
Our ultra-fast, non-foaming formula protects the heart of your practice, your evacuation pump. PowerLINZ has superb cleaning action without overflow.
An Economical and Simple Too!: - PowerLINZ is cost-effective. Highly concentrated but with an easy-squeeze pre-measured reservoir built right into its container, one case of 6 – 1L bottles can last each dental unit chair almost 9 months!
CuspiKIT
Cuspidor Retrofit Kit
Some dental unit chairs have a cuspidor built-in to the chair. Although some models have an automatic sensor inside the chair’s wiring and tubing apparatus to vacuum the patient’s rinse water directly into the evacuation line hosing, many do not.
For those models that do not have an automatic suction sensor, the contents from the cuspidor go untreated and directly to the municipal drain.
This simply negates one of the primary reasons to have an amalgam separator, namely, to capture at source the large pieces of amalgam in a broken restoration, or the left-over contents of a new amalgam capsule during treatment.
M.A.R.S has designed a simple and effective cuspidor modification assembly that creates a loop from the cuspidor’s tubing directly into the evacuation lines.
Using extra wide tubing and operated manually by the assistant only when your patient needs to rinse, the cuspidor modification assembly never plugs or gets blocked with restorative materials. Your production is uninterrupted.
But best of all, it lets you stay in compliance with your local wastewater by-law while at the same time allowing your patients to rinse during the procedure just as they normally would.
