This morning began the annual training session of Patterson Dental Canada’s London Branch. Today’s meeting was not quite like the same format M.A.R.S experienced during our training with Patterson’s Western Branches.
As it is for every company, the keys to success are with the company’s team and the leaders they follow. Today’s blog will be highlighting the leadership and sales team of Patterson’s London Branch.
There is a tremendous amount of respect surrounding the leaders of the Patterson Branch. It was quite evident that Dean Callon, Branch Manager, and Dan Nolan, Service Manager always have their team and clients in mind.
Dean has been with Patterson Dental for over 26 years, starting as a Patterson Sale Representative moving his way up to Patterson’s Branch Manager, holding that title for nearly nine years. While under the management of Dean, the London Branch has won the Patterson Canadian Branch of the Year award in 2010/2011, 2015/2016, 2016/2017, and 2017/2018.
Dan has been with Patterson Dental for twelve years, six of those years were spent as the Service Manager. Before Patterson, Dan was an outside sales Representative for an Industrial sales company, selling specialty products. After years of sales, Dan wanted a change, a job that allowed him to spend more quality time with his family, which is when he joined Patterson Dental.
Dan loves it at Patterson, he enjoys the challenges of the job and providing the solutions to help the clients of Patterson Dental. “That is what we are here for,” referring to the superior service Patterson Dental supplies their clients. Dan’s approachable and kind demeanor makes it very easy for anyone to want to work with him. In the time spent with Dan, it is quite evident that Dan’s Service Team has a justified level of respect for him, which results in a high level of quality from his team.

Every Patterson Sales Representative and Service Technician already has a keen understanding of amalgam separators and compliance. Our educational course taught these Patterson Professionals how to determine which line cleaners are good, and which are bad, based on the information in the Safety Data Sheets. Powered by this new knowledge, the Patterson Sale Team are eager to assist their clients in choosing the best evacuation line system for their Practice. M.A.R.S always appreciates working with the Sales Team at Patterson Dental. Every meeting M.A.R.S gets the undivided attention of every Sales Representative. Today’s meeting wasn’t any different. Each of the Sales Representatives was not only excited by the material; they were madly jotting down notes while asking brilliant questions.
Ryan Zimney has not been with Patterson Dental long, though you could never tell, as he provides the level of service you would expect from a veteran Representative. Ryan serves the Windsor, Ontario area, creating a loyal following of Dental Clients, who trusts in any recommendation he makes, knowing Ryan stands behind every product he sells. Of the London Branch, Ryan is one of the biggest M.A.R.S advocates, upgrading each of his Customers to the no maintenance LibertyBOSS.
Samantha Wells was engaged in the one-on-one training session. It is very clear that Samantha has a great understanding of infection control. Her knowledge on the subject fed her interested in learning about the M.A.R.S Method and the Category 3 CE Course on Infection Control and Proper Handling of Mercury Waste that M.A.R.S provides Patterson Customers.
Ronald Rooney is hard working and extremely approachable man. I can easily see why his clients love him as their Sales Representative. Every question Ron had during our one-on-one session was totally customer oriented. Constantly wanting to know how we can make his clients lives easier.
Jeff Griffiths’ high energy added a level fun to the Sales Meeting. Though Jeff is an easy going guy, when it came to discussing how we can use the Patterson and M.A.R.S relationship to improve the efficiency and overall service to his clients, he was all business.
