When You Wish Upon a M.A.R.S – Doubling Down on Your Money

When You Wish Upon a M.A.R.S – Doubling Down on Your Money

Every year M.A.R.S collects the mounting plates of filter type amalgam separators that have been removed from Dental Practices who have upgraded to a LibertyBOSS in Ontario. In December, we recycle the aluminum plates and donate the money to a worthy cause. This year was our greatest success as our amazing Canadian Distributors have upgraded over 350 Dental Practices across Canada to a M.A.R.S LibertyBOSS. From Ontario Dental Practices alone, M.A.R.S received 64 mounting plates, totaling 384 pounds of aluminum, giving us a total $250 to donate.

M.A.R.S matched the total and donated it to Stu Jefferies’s Thousand Dollar Make a Wish Minute. A fantastic charity that has raised over $130,000 to grant the wishes of 13 deserving children who have life-threatening medical conditions.

For 2018, M.A.R.S wants to expand the great program to have all M.A.R.S Distributors from across North America participate.

Make a Wish Come True

M.A.R.S is proud that more and more Dental Professionals across North America realize that the LibertyBOSS is the best option for amalgam separation. There has already been an upwards trend of Dental Practices upgrading their expensive filter type amalgam separators for the NO Maintenance, NO filter LibertyBOSS. As M.A.R.S sees this trend growing across North America for 2018, we would like to set forward a challenge for all our Trusted Distributors.

Doubling Your Money

For every filter based amalgam separator, you upgrade to a LibertyBOSS, keep the mounting plates throughout the year. In December 2018, take those aluminum plates to your local metal recycler and donate that money to a charity of your choice. If you supply M.A.R.S with your donation receipt and a photo of the mounting plates, M.A.R.S will match the money you donate from your amalgam separator mounting plates and donate that total to the Make-A-Wish Foundation in both Canada and USA.

The money being donated to each fund will be established on which country the M.A.R.S Trusted Distributor is based. All donations from our Canadian Distributors will be given to the Make-A-Wish Canada Foundation and all the contributions from our American Distributors will be donated to the Make-A-Wish USA Foundation. At the end of the year, every M.A.R.S Trusted Distributor who participated in our Make-A-Wish Foundations will be listed on our End of Year Blog, thanking our amazing Distributors for their support.

Boom 97.3- Thousand Dollar Make a Wish Minute

Though M.A.R.S’ donation may have been a pin drop in the amazing success of Stu Jefferies’s Thousand Dollar Make a Wish Minute, we are proud to have the opportunity to be a part of this worthy cause. The original goal of Stu Jefferies was to raise $80,000 to grant eight children’s wishes this year. They surpassed that goal by over $50,000 allowing them to grant the wishes of 13 children in Toronto and Central Ontario.

A wish come true helps children feel stronger, more energetic and able to battle their life-threatening medical conditions. For many kids, a wish marks a turning point in their fight against their illness. Please spread the word to your friends, family, and co-workers and join boom 97.3 in supporting this truly worthy cause. They are still taking donations and are only $3,340 away from granting another child’s wish.
